Fun Friday!

Who am I kidding, I can’t miss Fun Friday!! ;) I hope you are all doing well and your Friday is going well. I still have a day of work until my weekend but I’m looking forward to a few days of total rest and relaxation after the long days I worked at the beginning of the week. For now, I figured I’d do a fun post of just some random stuff I want to try or think is fun. No theme, just fun :)

Look how cute CakeryPapery‘s Glitter Mason Jar Candles are!! They suggest making them as a holiday decoration but I love it for any time of the year! I think they would be so cute during the summer at night  or even for a fun dinner party with the girls!

source

OMG lol I can’t even deal with this picture. This is the best idea for a drinking game EVER. You attach your fake mustache to the TV and every time it lines up with someone’s face you take a drink. So freaking funny.

source

And this would be the perfect snack to munch on while playing that game! Check out Whole New Mom‘s “Dorito” Flavored Popcorn! Count me in for this! Although I’ll have mine air popped ;)

source

As you may recall I have a bit of a nerd crush on Jesse Eisenberg so you can imagine my delight in hearing he is in a new movie called Now You See Me! I believe it opens next Friday! I’ve heard mixed reviews about the movie but I don’t really care lol. I have a buddy that wants to go too so I’m stoked! The last movie I saw in the theater was Bridesmaids circa 2011. She has Mondays off too so we’ll probably go on a Monday within the next few weeks. Yay!

Blurry pic of the coat of pollen on my car. So gross, it’s like this pretty much every day when I get out of work.

You know I can’t babysit this guy without sharing a pic of his sweet face! He’s been such a cuddlebug which I’ve been loving. Needing the cuddles and sweetness since I’m still feeling yucky and have a cough that sounds like a bark lol.

A different angle of Eddie in his favorite spot on the banister. He was loving the cuddles before too :) I’ve been spoiled by these guys!

That’s all for this Fun Friday! I guess it has an almost Movie theme to it? Sort of? Anyway, I hope that you all have a great weekend! Goodnight!

Fun Friday: The Travel Edition!

Guess who’s sick? Sick again? Sarah’s sick. Tell a friend. Can anyone guess where that came from? Anyway, it’s true my friends… I randomly came down with BRONCHITIS. AGAIN. What the hell?! I felt sick yesterday and it got progressively worse. It started as a headache, progressed into congestion which then progressed into a sore throat/trouble swallowing/deep cough and pain in the chest. All overnight. So I ran to the urgent care place before work and found out that I had bronchitis! Not what I was expecting. Oh and apparently I got it because of that damn bitch Hurricane Sandy. I’ve NEVER had seasonal allergies before and I guess this year a lot of people are experiencing them for the first time because the pollen counts are super high thanks for the hurricane. So I guess I had allergies and didn’t realize it and it turned into an infection. I’m in quite a bit of pain, especially in my throat and chest and I can barely even swallow. Naturally I ran to the store on the way home and picked up some ice cream and strawberry frozen fruit pops that will hopefully be soothing. Been drinking lots of tea too, came home early from work today and am skipping tomorrow. Even my teeth hurt. It’s so weird.

With all that said, I’m still here to do my Fun Friday post! This week’s theme (suggested by Molly) is a travel theme! I’m going to share some destinations that I’ve been wanting to visit for a long time! I’ll share both global and US destinations :) Now, these aren’t the ONLY places I want to visit but I had to narrow them down! There are too many to post!

United States Destinations:

source

First up, New Orleans!! I was there once for only one day and I was in love. It is so rich in culture, tradition and mystery. I would love to check out the amazing food, ghost tours, music, architecture and of course I’d like to drink another hurricane. Ah, the infamous hurricane story ;)

source

It may seem cliche but Hawaii is another place that I’m dying to visit. The crystal blue water, hiking the volcanoes, watching the big wave surfers, trying new amazing produce, soaking up paradise… it sounds too good to be true! I would love to really be able to spend some time there to really explore and enjoy the beauty. I think that Hawaii is a once in a lifetime trip and I would really love to get there in my lifetime.

source

I have always been curious about Arizona (and New Mexico) and I would really love to explore that part of the country more… especially after reading Molly’s amazing recap posts! And honestly, look at that picture. I would be in photography heaven there.

source

California! Of course California! I can’t believe I’ve never been. I would like to road trip the state because there are so many parts I want to see. And so many amazing people I’d like to meet!

source

Portland!! Vegan Mecca! I was there once on a day trip when I lived in Seattle. It was pre-vegan… read: before I was really able to appreciate the glory of Portland. I know how gorgeous the Pacific Northwest is because I lived there for a year and a half and would love to be able to go there and appreciate it… you can’t appreciate that stuff when you’re in grad school. Anyway, I would love to really be able to dig in to Portland now that I know better and would appreciate it more ;)

Other places I want to visit: Texas (I’ve heard great things!!), Savannah, GA (I’m a big paranormal fan and it’s supposed to be the most haunted city in the country), Chicago, Colorado and many more!

International Destinations:

source

Ever since I was in middle school I’ve had a weird fascination with Scandinavia. The photo above depicts an absolutely stunning view of the Norwegian landscape but I’d love to do an epic tour of Scandinavia including Norway, Sweden and Finland. I don’t think it’s the most vegan friendly region but OMG look at that photo. It would be an amazing opportunity to see the Northern Lights too as they appear in the Northern parts of these countries. So freaking beautiful.

source

Costa Rica!! Again, I’ve heard so many amazing things about this place and it looks so beautiful I can’t help but want to be there. I actually have a friend living there and she loves it. Look at that water! I’ve noticed that with the exception of New Orleans, there’s water in every single pic I’ve posted here.

source

Bangkok, Thailand. So much culture, amazing looking food, beautiful scenery. Thailand has always been near the top of my travel list because it has always looked so beautiful to me and I feel like there is so much to see and experience in Bangkok.

source

I am obsessed with visiting Greece. Specifically Santorini (pictured above) and Crete. I HAVE to get there one day. It may even be my number one international destination (even though I didn’t list it first… because I’m an idiot lol).

Other international destinations: Spain, Italy, and Easter Island as well as a return trip to England, Ireland, Scotland and France! And so many more!

So there you have it, some destinations from my very extensive “Must Go” travel list. Too bad my budget doesn’t match my desire ;)

Hope you enjoyed this week’s Fun Friday! I’m off to try and take a nap since I barely slept last night. Hope you all have a great Friday!

Fun Friday! The Summer Edition

Hey everyone! I’m so glad you all seemed to like my vacation wrap up posts! Now I’m settled back in and ready to get back to normal. I was contemplating skipping Fun Friday this week but decided that would be silly and giving in to my apathetic tendencies would be counterproductive right now :) So here I am with a Fun Friday post that was sure to ignite some excitement in me… a post about everything I’m looking forward to doing this summer!

I grabbed most of these photos from Pinterest. If I am not including a source it means the link from Pinterest was broken for some reason. Boo! Anyway, here’s what I’m looking forward to!

First and foremost, I’m looking forward to RELAXING!! Sadly I have no hammock but I do have a bench swing thing in the backyard that is begging to be used.

MORE FARMER’S MARKETS!! I always say I’m going to go to the Farmer’s Market but I only get there two or three times per season. I need to change that. I wish my local farmer’s markets had more produce options though.

source

I am really looking forward to getting back into training so I can start sparring! This is a really exciting prospect for me since I’ve wanted to spar for about 5 years now. I need to work really hard to get back to where I was but I know I can do it!

No explanation needed. Hopefully our beaches will have recovered from the storm in time for beach season. Not sure if they will yet. I know the boardwalks aren’t finished yet.

source

I’ve been planning on starting a new writing project for a while now. I’m not going to tell you what it is just yet because it’s going to be a lot of work and I’m not sure how long it’ll take but I will definitely keep you posted!

source

This goal is the biggest logistical nightmare but I REALLY want to start my podcast. It’s difficult to get everyone together but hopefully it will all come together at some point!

source

Definitely looking forward to refreshing summer beverages like this lovely Strawberry Watermelon Cocktail! Lemonades will be delightful as well :) Although I guess if I want to be honest here I’m really just looking forward to cramming as much watermelon as possible in my face. That’s the truth.

source

I really want to focus on getting back to beautiful, fresh, colorful, vibrant food. Summer is the perfect time to get back into the high raw habit so that is definitely a huge goal of mine! I feel like it’ll be a huge help in training for my sparring sessions as well!

Finally, I really want to make sure I spend as much time outside as possible. Believe it or not I felt a HUGE difference after I soaked up some natural Vitamin D from sunlight so I really want to be able to get my fill of it while I can. I’m constantly struggling with my Vitamin D levels so summer is a perfect time to replenish and bring my levels back up. Fresh air and beautiful scenery don’t hurt either ;)

I’m sure you are sensing a theme here. I’m really looking forward to and making it my big goal to put time and effort into my wellness and happiness. Since I won’t really be working weddings I will be able to enjoy the summer weather more and spend more time relaxing, enjoying fresh, healthy foods and pursuing hobbies that I am passionate about. I’m really looking forward to it!

That’s all for my Fun Friday post! Hope you’ve enjoyed it! If you have any suggestions for what you’d like to see in future Fun Friday posts please let me know in a comment! Thanks, hope you have a great weekend!!

The Return of Fun Friday!!

Hey everyone!! Happy Friday! I’m here with the return of my Fun Friday posts! I decided to do a theme for today’s post and today’s theme: beverages! I thought it would be fun to show you all my mug collection since I’m a total mug slut (yup I said it). After actually putting all of my mugs side by side I think I have come to realize that it’s a little bit of a problem and I need to curb my mug purchases immediately :) There are quite a few pics so sit tight! Oh and please forgive the crappy quality of the photos. I used my phone since the file size from pics taken on my camera are so huge it’s nearly impossible to upload them in a decent amount of time so I decided not to ruin a good mood with something as silly as a long upload :)

So up first we have my travel mugs. As you can see I have a variety of styles and sizes. I also have another cold cup like the one to the left but I forgot it at work. So yeah there’s actually 5. And that’s just the start…

So here I have a set of 4 large mugs that I use for tea and smoothies. I love this type of circle pattern and when I saw them I figured why just get one… obviously the full set is necessary. Besides… I like to color coordinate my smoothies. Don’t judge.

Here I have my glass mason jar mug (I have a set of four, just photographed one), a large brown mug (I had a dish and other mugs to match but they all got smashed when they were shipped here after I moved back from Seattle… and yes they were all wrapped up. It was sad), and my cute little cupcake mug!!

OK so here we have my Watch What Happens Live Andy Cohen Mazel mug that was gifted to me, my favorite owl mug, a fun trippy mug that’s tall and skinny and my “Smart Women Thirst For Knowledge” mug gifted to me nearly ten years ago when I was in college! Holy shit I’m getting old, lol!

I also have another mug that my friend gifted to me for my birthday last year but it’s at work. So yeah, clearly it’s a problem ;) I love my mugs though.

So now on to some actual beverages. Have you guys tried these Trader Joe’s sparkling beverages?!?!!? HOLY. SHIT. You guys, I’m telling you this stuff is DELIGHTFUL. And I use the word delightful in all sincerity. It is so delicious and refreshing, it’ll be a perfect summer beverage. And I’m sure a little vodka wouldn’t hurt it… what do you think Shen? ;)

So I may or may not have mentioned here that Chai is absolutely one of my favorite flavors. I love it’s sweetness and spice. It’s so comforting and warming and I try to find different ways to use the flavor and thanks to Pinterest I found a new way!

source

Check out these gorgeous Chai Popsicles that I found on Pinterest. They are pinned from La Spelonca Vegetariana and it is a vegan recipe once the honey is replaced. I seriously can’t wait to try these! What a lovely, creamy treat for a hot summer day.

And that’s what I have for you today! I hope that the return of Fun Friday has indeed been fun. If not please forgive me, I’m a bit rusty ;) I’m off to work then I have a training session right after. It’s so nice out though, I wish I could be outside. Oh well, I have plenty of natural vitamin D coming my way next week!! Yay!

Fun Friday: About Me Page Update

Hey everyone! I’m home sick today (this morning was not pretty) and I figured that I’d catch up on some blogs while I was laid up. I visited Sage’s lovely page and saw her post 26 Random Facts about herself as well as an update to her About Me page and took it as inspiration for a post for today!

I updated my About Me page with 30 random facts about myself. Some were the same as before and I added some that will hopefully be new info for you guys. I hope that it helps you get a little more insight about who I am as a person outside of this blog :)

30 Random Facts About Me:

1. I am a big fan of mixed martial arts. I’ve been training in boxing and kickboxing for over 4 years. I really want to start taking judo or brazilian jiu jitsu classes.

6. I wake up really early with no alarm.

7. I prefer to write with black pens.

8. I get the hiccups when I laugh really hard. It’s really embarrassing because I hiccup really loudly.

I went to college upstate (SUNY Geneseo) and briefly lived in Seattle for a year and a half for grad school. I then moved back to Long Island. I have spent 27 and a half of my 29 years in NY and I’m so incredibly proud to be a NYer.

That’s all for today! I hope you all enjoy your Friday. I plan on being in bed all day, yuck! I’m also sad that I had to cancel my training appointment but I will definitely be rescheduling for next week.

Have a great night!

Fun Friday – What’s On Deck

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! One more day of work for me until I have my weekend :) I scheduled another appointment with my Dr. for Monday since I told her I was uncomfortable waiting another month before moving forward. So that will hopefully help lead to some answers a little quicker.

So it has been a while since I’ve done a Fun Friday post! I’ve been pinning and printing recipes like a madwoman so I thought it may be fun to show you the recipes I’m hoping to make in the upcoming weeks (click the “source” link to go to the page)!

source

First, I absolutely MUST make this Peanut Butter Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips. I will be working on a vegan and gluten free version to share with you.

source

How amazing do Herbed Chickpea and Sesame Crackers sound?! I’m moving back toward a completely gluten free diet so snacks like these will be great to have on hand!

source

Isn’t this Gluten Free Pumpkin Roll absolutely gorgeous?! Laura is such a talented baker and I’m so glad she posted the recipe for this beauty because I really can’t wait to try it!

source

I think this is going to be one of my first projects in the kitchen. These are Gluten Free, Sugar Free Pistachio Date Cookie Slices. They look so delicious and I have a few changes I want to make and I can’t wait to try these!

source

How cool are these Waffle Iron Baked Cookies? They supposedly bake up in 90 seconds on a hot waffle iron. And I can try these now because I now have a waffle iron!! My mom got one for me and I’m so excited! I think I’m going to make a bunch of waffles this weekend (oat flour for me, regular for Delilah ;) )

So that’s all for today! Do you have any projects or recipes lined up for the winter? What are you making? I’m nosy ha!

Hope you all have a great night! Work tomorrow then freedom!

Vegan MoFo Post 21: Fun Friday – Hurricane Edition

Hey guys. Sorry for the lack of food posts lately, I’ve been feeling pretty sub par. I’m just exhausted all the time, it’s really hard even just to make it through a day of work. The thought of doing any extensive cooking or baking is pretty daunting right now when I feel so crappy. The good news is that I found a Dr. that had an appointment available on Monday so maybe we can finally get the ball rolling on this. The funny thing is that I arbitrarily picked this Dr. from a list of local specialists covered under my insurance and she was the same Dr. that my primary care physician was going to recommend (her second recommendation). It’s always iffy choosing a Dr. from a list but it makes me feel better than she was going to refer her to me anyway.

So I guess we are supposed to get a pretty gnarly hurricane or “frankenstorm” as they are calling it. So for today’s Fun Friday post I figured I’d do a Hurricane edition and show you all the fun things you can do if you lose power and are bored ;) It’s all about making lemonade out of lemons my friends. Which is something you can do if you lose power. ;)

source

Well, the first thing you can do is drink ;) Haha! I’m not a big drinker and I’m certainly not in any condition to be drinking right about now but if you are so inclined, a hurricane/frankenstorm blackout would be the perfect occasion to partake. And what better cocktail than a classic New Orleans Hurricane. Be careful though, these things pack a punch in a tasty little package. Don’t drink more than one. Trust me. I’ll probably partake in some tea instead. If this storm even happens. Who knows.

source

For those of you who know how to knit, you can make something super cute to keep you warm for the winter! I don’t know how to knit (I’m 0 for 2 on this list, hmmm) but I am OBSESSED with these gloves. I’m trying to bribe someone to knit them for me but no go so far. So sad haha! I’m not even really a big fan of the color blue but that color is gorgeous.

source

I’ve posted these before but I love them so much and it would be a great DIY project while you are braving the storm. You can etch recycled glass bottles, mason jars, etc. I love love love the look of them.

source

Get started on your holiday gifts! Obviously I’d save the perishable ones for the closer weeks but you can start crafting for sure. I’m going to try and get away with a lot of homemade gifts this year since funds are tight and this is a great resource for homemade gift ideas!

Those are some of my ideas for keeping busy while staying safe during this hurricane. If the lights go out you can always read or cook stovetop (gas burners only obviously) or play games and whatnot, but getting crafty (and drunk I guess from my first suggestion) would be fun as well :) Spend time with your loved ones, chat, save your phone batteries. Stay hydrated and well  nourished. And of course stay safe :)

Just a bonus photo :) This tree had the most gorgeous red leaves so I had to grab a shot of it! It is in front of my friend’s house. How lucky is she to get to look at this every day!?

I’ll be back before the hurricane hits I’m sure. I hope you all have a great Friday night! One more day of work. I can’t wait to have some time to rest!

Vegan MoFo Post 17: Fun Friday Veganversary Edition!

Hey my friends! Thank you all so much for your kind words and support :) It means a lot to me!

So like a dumbass I kind of totally missed my veganversary this week. Oops! It is my third veganversary yay! Since I missed the day I figured I’d use it as the theme of my Fun Friday post this week and show you all some of the majorly awesome things I’d buy myself if I had money ;)

First, like most vegans out there, I am dying for a Vitamix. I’m always so impressed by its versatility and power and I really wish that I had the extra cash and space needed for me to get one. One day!

I would also LOVE to get my hands on a Jack Lalanne Juicer. I’ve been really interested in juicing lately but right now I just don’t have the funds for a juicer. Maybe by next summer I’ll have one ;)

As you all know by now, I have a gorgeous bowl from Vegan Dish already but I’m totally obsessed with this adorable cereal bowl set! She is so super talented and these bowls are so cute, I’d love to have a full set of them. Definitely pop into her shop and check out all of her cute designs!

I’m sure you’ve heard of the Healthy Surprise Snack boxes! I would love to get one! I love that they send out a whole box of healthy snacks to last one month. I’ve seen Bianca post about the boxes she’s received and they look so fun! I love the idea of not knowing what you are getting. That’s what makes the Vegan Care Package Swaps so fun too ;)

So those are just a few ways I’d like to celebrate my veganversary. The reality of it is that I’ll probably just attempt to indulge in something I don’t really eat much to treat myself :) Maybe there are some tater tots in my future? ;)

I’m also submitting a fun recipe from the summer for Healthy Vegan Friday this week! I decided to submit my Raw Cherry Berry Crisp recipe from my Dinner Party that I threw for my friends. It’s fresh and sweet but not heavy. A perfect treat :)

So that’s all for today! A little peek into my wish list that I have going. One day I’ll have the kitchen of my dreams and it will include a Vitamix and a Juicer and probably a better dehydrator too ;)

I hope you’ve all had a great week! Enjoy your Friday night :)

Vegan MoFo Day 12: Fun Friday MoFo Style!

Happy Friday Friends! I didn’t do a Fun Friday post last week because I was knee deep in recreations but I decided as I transition into my new theme of my cleanse, I figured I’d do a fun friday post! I’ll show you what diet I’m about to embark on and all of the recipes I happened to find right before and I can’t wait to make after! It seems kind of silly to be planning things to make after, but I’m also planning on making appropriate adjustments to the recipes so I don’t undo all of changes (hopefully!) that I accomplish.

So I’m going to be going on an Anti-Candida diet starting this Sunday. I have had a suspicion of yeast overgrowth for a while now. I decided to take this questionnaire to assess my symptoms. Well, I scored a 382. 85+ is considered severe. So I guess you can imagine part of my urgency to get this started. I’ve been getting headaches every day, nausea every day, I’ve had a hard time holding meals down (and sometimes I can’t, sorry if TMI), severe anxiety, joint and muscle discomfort, skin problems, and lots of other fun things. Clearly it was time to start making changes and thanks to the advice of Gabby, I decided to pick up the Complete Candida Yeast Guidebook. It is a bit overwhelming (500+ pages of info overwhelming) and the information is confusing and extensive, but I’m confident that I’ll figure it out. I liked this book because it focuses mostly on a veg lifestyle and gives you lots of veg options. A frustrating thing about this diet plan is that everyone will have different opinions about what you can and can’t eat. It is a pretty restrictive diet in the most strict phase of it, but the plan in this book seems doable. If I follow other plans I’ve read I’d be eating all veggies all the time and I feel like that can’t be healthy.

I’m going grocery shopping on Sunday and I’ll show you my haul of ACD food and supplements :)

And of course since I decided I wanted to do this diet (which I’ll explain in more detail on Sunday) I have found all of these amazing recipes that I want to try but will not be able to until I can add things back into my diet. I have pinned them all to revisit later though :) I figured I’d share them with you now though!

source

How gorgeous is this bowl of Cinnamon Bun Granola from Angela and Oh She Glows!? I have always loved granola but rarely ever eat it. I am also a total cinnamon freak. As I’m sure you can tell I add it to pretty much everything. When I saw this recipe I got so excited… and then a little sad that I’d have to wait so long to make it! Oh well, I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait!

source

How about this 5 Ingredient Pumpkin Fudge from Lauren at Oatmeal with a Fork? I can’t think of anything I’d rather have in my fridge than this gorgeous and tasty fudge. I have some pumpkin set aside to make it as soon as I can add sweet things back into my diet. Yum!

source

Are you sensing a theme here? Baked Pumpkin French Toast from Ashley at Edible Perspective. I mean really, come on. This looks decadent and amazing. Must. Try.

source

Oh Chocolate Covered Katie, how you spoil us! Pumpkin Pie Reeses!? I don’t even have words for how amazing this is.

source

Last but certainly not least is this gorgeous No Bake Pumpkin Mousse Cake from Gabby over at the Veggie Nook! I was so amped when she posted this gorgeous recipe! It is like a cross between pumpkin pie and pecan pie. Yum! Definitely must try this when I’m able to!

And speaking of the lovely Gabby, she is one of the hostesses of the Healthy Vegan Friday Blog Party that I participate in when I have a recipe yummy enough to submit. This week I submitted my Healthy Cookie Dough Sundae recipe!

So that’s all for today! Let’s drool over all of the yummy things I won’t be able to eat for a while but will definitely make at some point! I won’t be posting tomorrow since I have a wedding but I will be back on Sunday with an ACD grocery haul and some more specifics about what I will be eating on this diet.

Have a great Friday night and Saturday my friends!

Fun Friday: It’s Here!!

Hey everyone!! Happy ALMOST Fall! We are one day away my friends! And one day away from fall also means one day away from my birthday! I love that  my birthday is the first day of fall :) It makes me smile that much more!

Today is my last installment of the Countdown to fall. It’s just a mish mosh of fun fall things that are starting to pop up and some things that may pop up later this fall ;)

As I mentioned, tomorrow is my birthday! I received this postcard from Starbucks entitling me to a free birthday drink! Woo!! Too bad the pumpkin spice latte isn’t vegan. Wah!

Pumpkins at the store!! It made me smile immediately to see them! I wish I would have taken a photo at the farmer’s market. There were tons of pumpkins and beautiful fall colored flowers.

I haven’t made these in probably about 2 years but I definitely need to make them again! They are Pumpkin Pecan Muffins. I used the Pumpkin Pecan Banana bread recipe from The Skinny Bitch Ultimate Everyday Cookbook and just made them into muffins. They were amazing, definitely something I need to make this year. They are also the subject of one of my favorite food photos I’ve ever taken. I don’t know why, I just love this pic.

Vegan MoFo is coming my friends!! Another wonderful thing about the fall is how the vegan blogger community comes together for Vegan MoFo. I participated last year and accomplished the task of 31 posts in the month of October (I actually posted every day). It was a bit daunting and overwhelming but I did it and I was happy I did! I’m extra excited this year because I actually thought of a theme that I’m pretty stoked about! I decided that this year I will take menu items from restaurants and will recreate them at home! The choices will range from dishes I’ve tried and loved, dishes I’ve wanted to try but need to veganize in order to do so, or dishes from restaurants I’ve never been to but want to try! They will be pretty simple dishes ranging from smoothies, to salads, to entrees to desserts. The restaurants will be a mix of chains, local restaurants and vegan restaurants. I have started brainstorming which dishes I want to veganize or recreate and have about 16 already :)

What dishes would you like to see me recreate off of a restaurant menu? I could definitely use some suggestions, and please include a link to the menu if you’d like to suggest something!

Sorry for the shortish post, I’m a bit tired so I want to rest before I see my friend tonight! My friend that lives in Massachusetts (who just got married) is coming down to hang out and I’m so excited!

Oh as a bit of an update, I got my blood test results back and will require further testing. A few of my antibody levels came back a little elevated so I’ll have to investigate more. I was already planning on following up with one doctor but given the test results I feel like I should follow up with a rheumatologist but I’m waiting to speak to my doctor. As you can tell I am a researcher and I will look for as much info as possible on my own so while the first discussion never involved a rheumatologist I think that is the best way to go. Hopefully she agrees!

So there’s the update and some more fun fall things! Happy first day of fall tomorrow and I should be back tomorrow evening to share my birthday festivities with you ;) Be warned, I may be a little tipsy while posting, ha!

Happy Friday!!
